What is Laughter Yoga?

 Laughter yoga is a global phenomenon that is being practised in over 100 countries.  Originated from India around 1995, laughter yoga was founded by Dr. Madan Kataria based on his scientific discovery that our body cannot differentiate between simulated laughter and real laughter - both produce the same mind-body benefits that are essential for our well being! Based on this incredible finding, laughter yoga was born to help people rediscover inner joy and improve physical, mental, and emotional health. 

Laughter Yoga in the Workplace
Laughter Yoga is the latest workplace wellness initiative adopted by many companies to help employees manage stress, improve team dynamics, and create a happier workplace.  When people laugh together, it dissolves judgment and ego, and breaks down barriers such as age, race, religion, and hierarchy in the workplace.  Thus, laughter yoga is a great tool for team building as it instils a high trust, and positive working environment.  Employees become more creative, productive, and happy. We encourage the whole team and the whole company to do laughter yoga together, the more the merrier!

What Can You Expect?
Laughter yoga workshop participants can come to expect fun and playful laughter exercises in a group setting combined with gentle movements, deep diaphragmatic breathing, and grounding relaxation. ​Just an open space is needed to conduct laughter yoga sessions, no need for yoga mats or gym cloths. It's simple and suitable for all levels, no experience is needed.
