Golden Milk, also known as Turmeric Latte is our all time favorite drink during cooler months. Like a warm cup of golden sunshine, this is a powerful anti-inflammatory and detoxifying drink to boost our immune system. Turmeric has been widely used in all over the world as a spice and medicinal herb. Rich in natural oils, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, fatty acids and phytochemical that works to balance and support the natural function of almost every part of the body.

Drink turmeric latte in the morning to start the day feeling balanced and grounded. Enjoy turmeric latte in the evening to relax and sleep better. Use turmeric latte as a natural healing remedy when you're feeling under the weather. We can't say enough how much we love this drink! Here is our secret recipe:

Origin Signature Turmeric Milk
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Servings: 4 Cups

Ingredients:
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 3 Cups Organic Nut Milk
  • 1 Tablespoon Organic Tumeric Root Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Coconut Oil or Ghee
  • 1 Teaspoon of Grated Ginger
  • 2-3 Cardamon Pod or Powder
  • Pinches of Black Pepper
  • Pinches of Cinnamon
  • 1 Teaspoon Organic Blue Agave (optional)
Instructions:
In a small pot, bring to boil 1 cups of water with 3 cups of nut milk. Lower the heat to simmer. Add in freshly grated or sliced ginger.  Add turmeric root powder, cardamon, black pepper, and cinnamon. Add in 1 teaspoon of coconut oil / ghee to help with absorption). Simmer for 5-10 minutes. Add in in agave to taste. Pour turmeric latte into a cup through a strainer. Enjoy! :)

Other Useful Tips:
Turmeric is fat soluble therefore we add in a teaspoon of coconut oil or other healthy oil of your choice to help increase absorption.

Heat is said to increase the solubility of curcumin (the primary active constituent in turmeric) by 12 times, which may also increase its bioavailability in the body. Therefore turmeric latte is best served warm.

This is a vegan recipe, feel free to use any planted based milk such as coconut milk, rice milk, and almond milk. You can also use regular milk, but only use organic, grass-fed, homogenous, and whole fat milk.

Wash cup with baking soda to remove any yellow stains.
